Neurosomatic Therapy
Understanding the Structure Beneath the Symptoms
Neurosomatic Therapy is a detailed approach to structural assessment and manual therapy that looks beyond where it hurts to explore how your body is organizing itself. Corey’s approach considers posture, movement, muscular relationships, and compensation patterns, with each session shaped around your individual body and needs.
Reading the Body as a Whole
Injuries, repetitive movements, daily habits, and physical changes can influence how the body adapts. Through detailed postural and structural assessment, Corey explores relationships throughout the body, including the head, shoulders, spine, rib cage, pelvis, hips, and feet. Rather than applying the same sequence of techniques to everyone, the work is guided by what your body is showing.
Assessment and Precise Manual Therapy
Corey’s training in Neurosomatic Therapy and Posturology brings together anatomy, biomechanics, muscular function, posture, movement, and soft-tissue work. A session may include assessment of standing posture, range of motion, gait, and muscular relationships, followed by focused manual therapy and reassessment. Sometimes this means working somewhere other than the area where you feel discomfort.
When This Work May Be Worth Exploring
This approach may be worth exploring if you experience:
- Recurring muscular discomfort or neck and shoulder tension
- Low-back or pelvic discomfort
- Postural imbalance or restricted range of motion
- Repetitive-use patterns or movement limitations
- Compensation following an injury
Your Session Is Shaped Around You
There is no predetermined formula. Your session may remain focused on precise structural bodywork or, depending on your needs, incorporate nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, embodiment practices, or wellness coaching. Corey’s approach honors your comfort, boundaries, and individual needs without forcing every experience into the same explanation.
You do not need to know which approach you need before you arrive. Together, you and Corey can explore what your body is asking for, with the intention of supporting greater balance, ease, and connection.
